Count down to my Wedding Day / Speech

Lots of Snow, High Stress, bouts of Flu and Christmas Time!

I would like to thank;
Spud for always being by my side,
My cousin Ali for being our photographer for the day,
Elaine and Steve for helping make this day happen and the wonderful centre pieces,
Chris & Michaela for my brilliant kilt,
And my Uncle Pete for all his support.

The day I proposed to Hannah, I felt like my wedding was a million miles away.  But this year has passed like a day, and christmas was once again creeping up on me.  Each detail being planned out and it not really dawning on me that all this was actually happening.  Plans were growing, snowballing and supassing my expectations.  But I told myself its not the day that matters but the person I'm marrying - Hannah.  I look forward to tomorrow and the rest of our lives as husband and wife, growing old together. *JDKelly*

==================
I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
It could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

[From Adam Sandlers The Wedding Singer]

Last but by no means least, please raise your glasses to Hannah - my wonderful wife!

Special Screening of Tron: Legacy

The Grid; a digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer, what do they look like? Ships, motorcycles, were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I’d thought I’d never see and then, one day, I got in . . .

I was one of the lucky few, due to working for the Symantec group I was given the opportunity to see a movie three days before general release.

This was a movie I had been waiting to arrive, for what feels like most of my life!

When I was informed that this was happening my office was all a bustle with talk of who was going, what they were most looking forward to most and if people had even seen the original! (What? Come on!!) Man I was so excited, but hey this was work I had to contain myself right?

We were provided with a coach ride to and from the cinema, which was nice for those of us who do not drive.

When we arrived into the screen we were provided with sealed bags of free popcorn and a bottle of water each, some people complained afterwards that this was a bit basic or there wasn't a choice between salt or sweet. I for one did not as I don't tend to buy popcorn when I go to the movies anymore, (feels like I'm throwing money away its so expensive) so to have some was a nice change. Also I always buy water when I do go (great for hydration, not so good for bladder breaks!), so I was fine with this.

After watching the movie, and finally getting home I embarked on my review for the Proud Lion blog site.  I was finally finished at 1:05am GMT and I had to be up for work again at 6:40am! oh well I feel it was worth it - and even though I have been slighty more critical than usual, I did still enjoy the movie.

Please see my full review of the actual movie here - http://proudlioncomics.blogspot.com/2010/12/watcher-tron-legacy.html

Further Writings for Proud Lion

Here are my next couple of articles which I have written and enjoyed for my favourite comic book store - http://www.proudlion.co.uk/

Please check them out!

Tron: Legacy, 23 Minute Preview.
We start with a very Eighties-style text introduction along with a short premise; Kevin Flynn has turned his experiences inside the Grid into a popular videogame – Tron. But at the height of his fame and power as head of Encom, he disappears which leaves his son Sam to grow up all alone.

Monsters Movie Review.
The basis of the movie is that a NASA space probe has crash landed in America bringing with it alien life forms. Six years later there is a massive section of land between the United States and Mexico sectioned off as ‘infected’. We have giant squid-like creatures roaming the land and the armed forces trying to stop them doing damage, but as always causing some themselves.
